I will miss the missives of the Phiant. Part of the greatness of this forum is the relative anonyminity. The anonyminity is also part of the tragety. I'm sorry not to have met this person. The posting of a great active mind is always appreciated.

I'm not yet convinced that The Phiant is gone.

She made a posting on Nov. 1, the day she is said to have died. Unlikely that "Ms Terry" [sic!], who claimed to have made postings for The Phiant for quite some time, would have posted the day she is said to have died.

More likely The Phiant staged her own disappearance just out of curiosity how many kudos she would attract!

It is unlikely you would have done so if you were in Ms. Terry's place. It's been my experience we each grieve and comfort ourselves in our own way.
I remember riding from my father's funeral service to the cemetery with my mother and his closest friends cracking jokes and telling funny stories the whole way.

I remember reading a post by "ThePhiant" talking about a friend who was in the end stages of breast cancer. This would not have been a sudden and unexpected passing. Maybe Ms. Terry was just comforting herself in her own way.

It all is a bit mysterious but that was the essential nature of ThePhiant besides being ThePhiant. I have to take it at face value. Ms Terry, I guess, sent me a private compliment under ThePhiant's moniker a few weeks ago to which I replied,

"By the way....my theory is that you're a former Spy for the now defunct Soviet Union....former KBG and all, sent forth into the West in the great post-Communist diaspora in order to stir up discontent among the Middle Class of the now waning Great Empire of North America (GENA). Am I even close? Tell the Truth Lulu!!!!.....decter"

Maybe she/he was a spy and returned to the East...or maybe she has passed on and returned to the North...

God Bless ThePhiant anyway for keeping things lively, and occasionally sweet, even if she was compulsively baitful and confrontational.....hey, we all like a big helping of steamy deBait around here on Wacco anyway right?

By the way, check out the Language of God by Francis Collins on Amazon or Copperfields (https://copperfields.booksense.com/NASApp/store/Product?s=showproduct&isbn=9781416542742) if you want to see the great debate between Science and Spirit taken one step closer to it's destined ultimate synthesis and reconciliation.....especially for all you Carburetor Heads out there! ROCK ON LULU! PLAY ON DRUMMER! AndThe Wind Cries Mary....
