If you received a ballot from KPFA for the Local Station Board (LSB) election and haven't voted yet, please vote and send it to arrive at the station no later than Thursday, Nov. 15.

I've served three years on the KPFA LSB and am a candidate for reelection. There are ideological differences re. governance of KPFA/Pacifica -- democratic process versus top-down corporate-style management. My votes on the LSB have been consistent in promoting a fair democratic process with more input from the primary stakeholders, the listeners.

I want to help create a Program Council that has power in decision making about programming. And the unpaid staff, which produces most of the programs at KPFA, must have a right to organize and have representation that is recognized by management. I also believe that listenership will grow if KPFA reaches out to the diverse communities and gives voice to those who don't have access to the corporate media.

I currently serve on the LSB Outreach Committee, and the Pacifica National Programming Committee. I was co-founder of North Bay for KPFA. I also work with: The Petaluma Progressives; The Committee for Immigrant Rights, Sonoma County; Voces Cruzando Fronteras; The Martin Luther King Committee; I'm on the Peace Press Editorial Collective of the Peace & Justice Center of Sonoma County. Formerly served two terms on the Green Party of Sonoma County Council.

Among my endorsers are: Peter Phillips of Project Censored, LaVarn Williams, Peter Camejo, Michael Parenti, The Petaluma Progressives, Bonnie Faulkner...

Attila Nagy

KPFA Pacifica National Board Director, PNB Treasurer

These candidates believe in the mission of Pacifica and hold dear this democratic process that provides security for the Foundation. Please vote only for these candidates who believe in this democratic*process that selects both LSB Members and PNB Directors.
