Barry, if you're reading this, can something be done to limit the promoting of businesses and services to their appropriate sections? It seems that almost every time I read the "digest" or go through various threads, someone is promoting some service or other they can provide in the middle of discussions.
I do monitor most posts. If an offer is very genuine and germane to the topic I will leave it. It's all very grey... I welcome you, Christine, and anybody else to give me your feedback on specific posts for any reason. In addition, if somebody would be willing to help monitor posts/moderate the WaccoTalk category so I could spend some more time on development I would very much appreciate it! It does call finding the right balance of tolerance while maintaining order and supporting our guidelines.

would you consider me for the position?

I read chicken entrails to empower people. If I'm not mistaken, chicken entrails-reading is a far older discipline than tarot, and therefore I claim equal posting privileges.

Personally, I do not consider you to be a qualified candidate on the grounds that you have not yet undergone my training course in chicken entrails- reading. I am board-certified in this ancient and venerable discipline, and I am willing to provide training to you or any other wacco member at the greatly reduced rate of $25 per one-half hour session (you provide the chicken).

would you consider me for the position? :heart:Actually, I would consider you, Lulu! As well as you, Willie, given your credentials .

I ask that you notify me about any moderation action you take. As has been already noted, a moderator is held to a higher standard and is expected that their posts and moderation activity treat members with great respect and is above reproach. If that sounds good to either of you or anybody else, please reply publicly! I would appreciate it greatly!

Are you suggesting that you would actually put the word Moderator under my name???
Oh my, that would make me look mighty impo'tent!
but I had suggested that to you in private awhile back.LMAO
you see I don't just have insight I even have some foresight. LMAO

LULU; being a moderator does not mean slipping f word in ever other sentence and completely changing the context of the message to suit your own desires and admirations!!! I can see it now! Yours would be the only opinion on the whole board! LOL!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I think you may want to appoint someone whom would ask for the opinion of others before acting, sort of a poll or just ask if the post might be too offending. Not just at ones free will! more of a judge, jury, and executioner. Or we might use that big word that everyone seems to hate, JUDGMENTAL! We can get a bunch of people to be judgmental about a post, good, bad or plain it has to go! Someone with enough ballz to be the bad guy, someone whom knows better than to take on anyone’s pain for their own. Someone whom is sensitive enough to tolerate others feeling in a pinch, no matter what time of day it might be and no matter how they might be feeling, this has gotten Barry on more than one occasion and it reflects on us all! I think it almost takes a zombie!!! I can’t do it for LULU would hate me!!!!! LMAO!!!!

Are you suggesting that you would actually put the word Moderator under my name???Yes, it would be Assistant Moderator, or I would consider something of your own creation. Do you want to do it, Lulu? It also involves editing posts to fix any problems, including broken or excessive quotes, with the highest level of integrity.

If I moderated, I would use the criteria that everyone would have to agree with ALL of my political opinions or I would boot them off the Wacco List permanently.

Where do I apply for the position?

Edward

Barry you know I have the highest level of integrity and no one has ever accused me of excessive quotes yet!
I even have a solid following of people that have put me on their special list that was created just for me!
the thing that really worries me though is, who is going to do my job?
it is a delicate balance to uphold a reputation that was earned in the trenches and to be one of the boys
could I be the co-medy-rator?
