i've just eaten at the chinese food restaurant located in the coddingtown mall (somewhere i usually avoid) and they have some really good things happening. organic and fresh vegetables and yummy vegetarian meals.

i'm not connected to them except as a customer.:Yinyangv:

What's the name of the resturant and how did you come up with your username?

i go there on a regular basis and have always felt the food was fresh and well prepared. The owner was part of China Room in Santa Rosa that is also known for good food. Peter who owns the resturant has high standards for using fresh ingrediants and wanting the best for his customers. With the changes in Coddington Mall I hope they will be able to stay.

A personal favorite Chinese food restaurant of mine is Yingkeng in Windsor. They're always friendly, and great food. Its a little pricey there. I'm in no way affiliated with them.

Do you by chance remember the name of the Chinese restaurant or which part of the Coddingtown Mall it is located in? Thank you both for the recommendation and the information re name and location!

not sure of the name, perhaps it's Fresh Chinese or something similar. it's on the outside of the mall, near an entrance. I've only been to Coddingtown mall about 3 times...

FRESH CHINA....
excellent!
as you face the front of the mall, it's about 2/3 of the way to the left....

Here's a local review of Fresh China from Chowhound.com board - https://www.chowhound.com/topics/427286 There are lots of Sonoma County posts there on everything from markets & taco trucks to multi-starred restaurants. - Stephanie

I had dinner there last night. They are my favorite take out in Santa Rosa for Chinese food. The buffet to go is easy and has a great variety. I was there last night and should have asked how to get some of their frosty ice cream to go. Or maybe had a bowl while I was waiting for my Mongolian stir fry.

Our family tradition is Christmas Eve dinner there. Has been for about 10 years now.

Have you tried the China Light tucked in behind Starbucks at Mission Blvd and 4th? That's my favorite!!!

Mine too. !!!!!!!!! Mindy I never remember the name but the sleep center next to the coffee shop is amusing enough to remember now that it is built.......The lettuce leaf rolled thingys are great, also everything else I have tried there. Has been about 6 years since I regularly frequented.
