Hi All,

Recently, several of us locals, wanting to save money on organic
foods, started a co-op that will serve our area.

Sonoma County Organic Coop
REMINDER: All orders for Oct. delivery need to be in by Wed. the
24th. It's simple and easy.

:bettyboopcook:
A few details:
Contact persons: Peggy [email protected] (https://us.f362.mail.yahoo.com/ym/[email protected]) 766-9750 or Terri [email protected] ([email protected])
No dues or fees.

Products: Get catalog in as few as 2 days from www.azurestandard.com (https://www.azurestandard.com) or
look online at their products. Please remember that online prices are higher than our co-op prices will be.
Orders: You set up your own account at www.azurestandard.com (https://www.azurestandard.com). Make
your order through their website and tell them you're in our coop.
You are responsible to pay them directly by credit card or you can
meet the truck with us and pay by check or cash.
Deadline: Oct. 24 for orders. Minimum $40.
Pickup: Monday Oct. 29. at Commerce and Transport Way in Petaluma.
(Or make arrangements to pick up at a house in Petaluma or Sebastopol.)

Sharing orders: Azure sells small quantities or case prices. If you
want to share a case price order with another family, please do so
and plan to divide up the food on your own. Prices are low but there
can be quite a savings if you buy in larger quantities.
Volunteer work: Probably only one afternoon every two or three
months.

Please contact us for any questions. We happy to help you get
started saving.
Consider using the coop for special foods. E.g. Gluten, dairy free.
Hard to find organics.

Update about new co-op.
As it stands today, we will not be able to meet the minimum amount ($400.) to make our first order from www.azurestandard.com.
Please be sure to contact Peggy [email protected] or Terri [email protected] if you're planning to get an order in this week by the deadline of Oct. 24.
If we cannot make our total high enough in Oct., we'll hold our orders over for Nov. to give us more time.
Thanks for all those inquiries!

Hello!

This sounds great but I'm wondering if there's the possibility of a drop off in Santa Rosa? If not, what would it take ot make that happen?

Thanks!

I wonder if there is an organic produce-buying club that is more local. These folks are in Oregon, so add the costs and impacts of trucking the stuff down here. Any ideas?

There are many organic growers down here in this area-- why not look into the possibility of their doing something like whatever it is you're looking for., There's Tierra Farms, and the guy that owns formerly Bob's fruit stand on Hway 12--(I forget the name of his farm-- he also sells at the Santa Rosa farmer's market) these are just in Santa Rosa area. There must be many more in West county... I'm surprised you haven't heard from some if them.
