Hi Folks,
Just checking: Has anyone had any experience with Santa Rosa Dental Group on Mendocino Ave.?
They advertise in the Sonoma Express for inexpensive teeth cleaning.. they did the cleaning, and "found" several deep pockets" and "strongly recommended a gum planing procedure... this is serious.." etc.
I'm wondering if they are using a Loss Leader here?
I went in today for my "gum planing" ($930.00) and informed the dentist that I was a bit confused, because my gums don't bleed at all when I floss.
He responded with; "Hmmm yes you seem to have responded very well to the cleaning we did (8 weeks ago) hmmm... ok let's just do 1/2 of the gum planing procedure... "
So, $414 later, all I have is another cleaning! This time with "ultra-sound"
Curiously, while in the chair, another fellow came in and I overheard their conversation... it sounded very similar to mine, except he was going for the entire gum planing procedure.
Help me out: Is Santa Rosa Dental Group the Jiffy Lube of dentistry?
