About this time of year, if you are heading south on the 101, especially on weekends, expect delays of up to 30 min because of the gawkers.
Petaluma prides itself as a "Green" city, however, it essentially endorses pollution by tens of thousands of cars being delayed because they claim they cannot do anything.
Caltrans, CHP, City of Petaluma, and the County Supervisor all either pass the buck or pathetically say that nothing can be done. Nor have they offered one single solution to them stealing your time and polluting the air.
Three possible solutions:
-mobile lighted traffic sign
-seasonal fence
-plant fast growing shrubs
Do you have a solution? :):
Or wish to express to our elected officials that they should be working for the public safety and good, and that you want the problem fixed immediately, and that they should all get together and have a meeting and solve this ongoing mess.
