are you saying that a God fearing, anti Gay marriage, anti Abortion, death penalty implementor, new torture inventor and circumsized mass murderer like Gw Bush should get off with a slap on the back?

Anyone.

You challenge me, Phiant, but the answer is yes, even Bush should simply be put behind bars where he belongs, for life and without parole.

Though it's down to 80% now, the semantics of your statement are bugging me.

5 or 6 respondants represents approximately one one-thousandth of Waccovians, a tenth of one percent, not quite the quorum your post implies.

Just to clarify, I agree that it should be abolished, to me, it would seem to be to be societies' responsibility to care for it's sick, it's wounded, and homicidal folks certainly fit this description.

I was being playful and provocative on purpose to elicit more participation. I expected a pro death penalty vote would probably be the first response to my over confident statement.

My sense of humor and my sense of things in general often bug people because they are hit with something they are not used to, something unpredictable.

Most Americans are in favor of the death penalty. Most Californians are in favor of the death penalty. And I myself was feeling a little suspicious that even though there were only 2, 3, 4, or 5 people had voted, the poll could not reflect the reality of people's opinions.

A couple more observations. Any poll must have at the very least 30 samples for it to have even minimal validity. The other observation is that, as you once made reference to yourself, this local community, and perhaps more so with Waccolites, we have a progressive group of folks. As a matter of fact, I seriously doubt that Waccolites accurately represent the average Sonoman.

Thanks again for your input; I always find your words very constructive.
