Yesterday morning went fine, it was the afternoon that turned into pure hell for me. Without being too long winded, I had an angry mother who wanted to drug test her daughter...long story short, I guess she decided to take her anger and frustration out on me because before I knew it she was telling the front desk person that she was going to call and complain about me today.

The only thing I can think is that she felt I was challenging her parenting skills by being nice to her daughter. The kid said she couldn't go to the bathroom...how am I suppose to get a sample to send off for drug testing?

I was kind and understanding and I get in trouble. Not only that but I felt that I did not get any back up from the front office staff.

I know that we all have days like this, but I would be damn happy if people would learn to communicate, not get angry and back one another up when need be.

Jill , my dear, Yes I think we all have those days and I want to let you know that I read yesterday the Sun opposed Venus and now it is in Mercury.. So at least there is a reason ! I just remind myself to breathe and I look around at all that is beautiful.. easier said than done at times I know , but it's worth a try .. Peace , with Sincerity ,Tinque

You offer "Food for Thought"...

Recently...I find myself saying to my daughter, "Honey...please don't speak to me this way"...when her voice is angry..."Do you think it alright to talk to me like that?"...Then, I realize...she learns it from me...WELL...time out for the mommy, I say...

You are so right...communication is the key...reading your post is good for me!

Thank You!

Anyone who has ever been drawn into someone else's family fight can sympathize with you. Any cop will tell you the worst call is a domestic disturbance. In these situations, no matter what you do, you will be blamed. It sounds like you did the best you possibly could. Pat yourself on the back and let it go.
