Blessings Community.
As always, I am turning to the fabulous resource that is our community for some information and direction on something that is very important to my husband and I.
We have decided that it is time for us to start a family. For many reasons having a biological child is not the first option for us and we have decided to investigate the route of adoption. Our plan is to spend the next 12 months learning about all the different adoption options that are out there: adopting a baby locally, nationally, internationally, adopting an older child, fostering, adopting a child that may have special needs, etc...
With all the compassionate folks on Wacco, I'm sure that there must be some who have chosen adoption for their families, or were adopted themselves, and my husband and I would love to hear about your experience so that we can make our decision as informed as possible.

Good for you!--too many humans on the planet as it is. I'll pass your request along to my sister and her adoptive son and, if i can get an address for her, to my mother's adoptive sister. I know my sister and her husband feel like the luckiest parents on Earth and couldn't possibly be more thrilled with any birth child--and that's saying something, since this adoption took place 19 years ago! Maybe she can tell you the name of an agency to stay away from--
the one that ripped them off for thousands of dollars. Good luck.
