Try the National Holistic Institute based in the Bay Area. They have a Petaluma campus. They also offer a free massage, I believe, on Saturdays by students. They are a 500 hour (or so) course. It's a matter of time till California increases the hours needed to practice. There is already a bill being worked on to have a 250 hour practitioner license and 500 hour licensed therapist requirement. I personally do not agree with this, but sometimes you have to face what's happening. I've been a CMT since 1990 w/ 200 hours at school and an additional 350 hours of training anticipating the change. I believe NHI offers financial aid too.... It will be cheaper to take the 500 hour class now than after it becomes law. Tell your son good luck, it's a great career choice!!!!!!
