CITGO, the US vendor for Venezuelan gas, has been bought out by 7-11.
By September, all 7-11 stores will be selling gas from wherever they can get it the most cheaply.
That means instead of being buy gas whose sale benefits the poor of Caracas, the only gas available will be from companies whose sales harm the people of Darfur, Nigeria and various South American areas. Tank up while you can, and more importantly, ask the California Energy Commission to allow ethanol to be sold at the pump. There's a supplier in the area that doesn't grow corn to make ethanol but produces it all from agricultural waste. If they could sell it openly,
at the pump, and advertise, they would be in a better position to keep up a steady supply. Even conventional gasoline engines can run on at least 10% ethanol, which adds up to a lot.

"I am so okay with it happening to "them" in Nigeria, "bad people there"?
I am sure not all Nigerians are "bad people" that deserve to have it "happen to them". The same holds true for Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Americans, Iraqis, Palestinians, etc. Let's not lump everyone into one description and then categorize them.

All I know is what I know.
They have no mercy or care for frauding elderly and others out of their life savings, on the word that they are Christians needing help with funding orphanages. Then they steal they're money all the while seeming sincere and like they care or love you. Or that they need help with transfering money through a US bank account. Or saying that they have won a lottery.... people fall for this stuff and it is heart wrenching the end results.

I will conceed that not all People are bad. But I only know about the bad ones in Lycos Nigeria. And it is to them I direct all my rant.
