Update on Rottweiler in need of intervention:
I am sorry this took so long. I have been getting sick again (Lyme disease: oh the joy!).
Anyway, his name is (was) Conan. I call him my little KonaBean. I’m unsure of his age, maybe 5-6 years.

He is in my care, at my house. After the first posting about him, I got a call that the “owner” was going to slice his throat! I went out immediately and took him with no problem from him, Kona OR owner.
So…… he is mine, I guess. He is extremely sweet, except about food, but he’s learning. My land lord knows I have one rottie, Hannah, who is 10 yrs old and since Kona doesn’t move more than 6 ft at a time, she has never seen them together and assumes they are the same dog. Yes, she would have a fit!
Kona has massive upper body strength due to having to pull/drag his lower body around. He DOES get up on his back legs for short jaunts to the yard, etc.
And his back legs fly sideways/splay out when he walks. It doesn’t Look like hip displasia,
But I’m not a vet. I wish I could get some X-rays and see what’s wrong. Maybe he does need a wheelchair, I don’t know. I just know he would like to go with me some times, but can’t.

I am on a fixed income, so I guess what I’m begging for is DOG FOOD. I also have 2 elder rescue cats with my 2 and the strays. I’ve always fed Sensible Choice, but will settle for anything right now. I feel a little overwhelmed.

I’m also begging for vet care. (Paula, I left a message, maybe it got lost or???)
My Phone # is 707- 256-8990. I’m only posting for the animals. Please don’t abuse it. Thank You. I think most of you are caring souls. I have an advocate’s soul, but no energy, so I try to do what I Can. Most of it “falls on my lap”. When that happens, I know it was meant to be. What do you do? Deal with it!
My health has to take a back seat right now. I’ve been through Lyme disease hell for 16 years. Aside from the pain & fatigue, I think these animals need me more right now. That’s my calling.

Blessed Be and God Bless You All,
Laure

Try here for help with the vet bills. Some people say they have had little luck, but, it never hurts.

I tried calling but the phone number is disconnected.
I have an extra bag of Kirkland Lamb and Rice if you are in dire need.
I understand your plite. I have osteoarthritis and do rescue. It sucks! Is there anything that can be done to help YOU? Perhaps some able bodied people out there can come and help you care for the critters?

don't give up careing.

I hope I didn't give my old phone # OK, it is 526-8990. Is that the same?
I, also, have osteoarthritis and you're right, it's HARD, but what can we do when so many are in need that can't speak for themselves?
Please don't worry about me. I have a caregiver through IHSS. They are great! By the way, I've been upgraded to acute and am on Sec. 8, so qualify for a live-in and a 2 bedroom house if anyone hears of one outside SR city limits. Only thing is- my rescue work. Has to understand .
Lucinda, yes, I could desperately use the food and thank you so much for your thoughts and caring.
