I am fairly new to knitting and am looking for a circle to learn and share with other more seasoned knitters. I live in Sebastopol. Evenings are best for me. Is there anything out there like that?

I am not sure if you folks are familiar with that arts and crafts thrift store in the south part of town in the Mcdonalds' shopping center. It's called The Legacy. Purchases made there support the Sebastopol Senior Center.

They have a great bulletin board near the cash register with posts from locals who ask for and offer their services to teach various crafts. I met a terrific senior who taught me how to crochet. Good Luck!

Yes, Cheryl, there are lots of informal knitting circles in Sonoma County. Many are related to the Sonoma County Knitting Guild. Just google that and check out the web site. Unfortunately there are none that I know of in West County, but some from Sebastopol attend the Knit at Nights at Borders, Santa Rosa. These are 1st and 3rd Wednesdays and 4th Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. onwards.

I would also be interested in a knitting circle. I live in Occidental, and work in Sebastopol, so either of those locations would work.

I'm so on board for a knitting circle...maybe us gals should just get together and make our own knitting circle...I mean, there's so many of us now that'd like to join a circle, and there's none to be known out here in West County. Sounds like fate to me.:Yinyangv:

I am interested in learning to knit, too. I would be interested in a Seb./west county knitting circle. It seems like there are enough of us that want to learn. Is there anyone experienced enough, with the patience to teach, that is also interested?

I can teach the basics, up to knitting socks. Do we have a possible location?
