Hi anybody out there know a good clay hole we can dig some local clay from?
I am working on several "Cob" projects,( Cob is a natural building tech. using clay, sand and straw.) and I'm fairly new to the area, I know clay in Mendo. and Marin, But not here.
You may have a spot on a dirt road where it gets really gooey and slippery in the winter, or along the bank of a small creek there might be a spot kids usually know these things before "Grown -ups"
The projects are educational and kids and good causes and all!
Kids made a cob Dragon at Salmon creek school in occidental with my help
soon I will figure a way to put the pics on line and you could see digital clay!
