last Sunday my tiny very long haired Kit - black with white, neutered, male
did not come in for dinner.
yesterday Sweet Pea also did not arrive and I just came in from calling him again.
Sweet Pea is a medium/long haired grey kitty with a fluffy tail, pointed face, and very demure almost plaintiff meow.
Sweet Pea is shy and might appear ferral although he would cower rather than hiss.
Kit is shy but friendly if petted, hates to be groomed, matted fur in places.
these cats are always here. I am very concerned and upset.
My horrid visit to pound yeilded nothing. I also checked the dead animal book.
I think someone is taking or hurting them and I dont know what to do.
This makes 8 missing cats in about 3-4 years - plus three that I found dead and two dead chickens.
the pound has not been helpful and even said that someone can legally trap cats and bring them in without question, even if they might be someones' pets.
While searching the neighbor hood my neighbor down the block told me his dog got out at night and also disappeared.
I will offer a huge reward if anyone can be successfully prosecuted for this.
I would love to see some kind of legal involvement into this.
I can only move if I leave Sonoma county. If someone is doing this how can we catch them?
Please help spread the word to keep an eye out for Kit and Sweet Pea - even if you find a dead cat matching their description.
Neither have tipped ears becasue I paid for neuter etc myself.
thank you
