Mystery Intact

In the
Dead of
Night
Under a
New moon
Life beckons
& freedom
sings
unrestrained
The earth
Is moist,
Cool to
bare feet,
feet that tap
tap to
that distant
rhythm,
that distant
beat,
that heart beat
deep
within
our earth
we sniff
slight breeze
& catch
a new story
on a chill midnight
wind
beings free
scurry
along shadows,
along seams
in realities plane
“Basta!”
a silent
voice sings
In the temple
Of power
Old men
Tremble
Resistance
Is seduction
& blood boils
Tired minds
Toil in
Anger &
Hypocrisy
In the
new dawn
“hombre Nuevo”
reclaims
our birth rite
& we are
free.
