Hey, computer wizzes--

Helllllp! Since last night, I've been unable to download my new emails into my inbox. My email program (Entourage) tries for awhile to download, then gives up and says it could not retrieve email from my account because "A connection failure has occurred". I assume it has something to do with the fact that I have a wimpy little 56k dialup modem which could easily choke on a big attachment (thus apparently proving the Buddhists right on the subject of attachments).

So, because apparently some big fat email has clogged up my system, none of the ones behind it can get into my inbox either. I'm incommunicado by email (except for those I can see at this Waccosite)! Advice on what to do, please!

Thanks in advance!

Hey, computer wizzes--

Helllllp! Since last night, I've been unable to download my new emails into my inbox. Well, I don't know if I count as a wiz just yet, but I'd suggest your goto the Earthlink website and manage your mail there. You can use this link: https://webmail.earthlink.net/

Nothing satisfying about living on wimpy attachments, Dixon! Close your eyes and jump!

Hello again;

I am about to delete my email that started this brief thread because the problem is solved, but first I want to thank Barry, Adrian, Royce and Zeno for offering advice.

I went to WebMail and looked at what was there. The culprit turned out to be a corrupt email (not an email from Capitol Hill; the other kind of corrupt). Deleting it in WebMail did the trick.

Thanks again, Bros!

Please don't delete your post (which will delete the thread) since it may be of use to other folks in the future. Thanks!
