Good news in the House of Representatives. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey will be web casting the special hearing mentioned below on her website Thursday, Sept.15th 7 am West Coast time , and C-SPAN will later broadcast it that evening.
Please tune in, ask others and the media to so the same. Our real homeland security us depends on ending the doctrine of pre-emptive "war" and bringing our troops home for our protection here, whether it be for natural or manmade disaster preparedness.

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, the first Member of Congress to call on the President to develop and implement a plan to bring U.S. troops out of Iraq, has requested hearings in the U.S. House International Relations Committee and the U.S. House Armed Services Committee to discuss plans to bring the troops home while helping the Iraqis regain control over their country and their future.
Since her requests of the President and the Republican controlled Congress have been ignored, Congresswoman Woolsey is organizing an informal "forum" to discuss strategies to achieve military disengagement while still playing a constructive role in the rebuilding of Iraqi society.
