HOW TO PREPARE FOR A CLOTHING SWAP
Portia Sinnott, LITE Initiatives

A Day or Two Before
1. Clean your closets and drawers.
2. Wash and sort your discards: Womens, Mens and Kids: Tops, Sweaters, Outerwear, Shorts, Pants, Skirts, Dresses, Lingerie, Footwear, Fabric, Books, & Miscellaneous. . .
3. Place as many items as possible on hangers - especially professional and dressy clothing.
4. Fold the remainder and pack into boxes and bags.
5. If it is beyond repair or absolutely worn out, please recycle or use it as a rag. Don't bring it to the swap!

Day of the Event
6. Dress in loose comfortable clothes and/or a leotard.
7. Things get lost easily; so leave valuables at home.
8. Remember to car pool! It is more fun, ecological and parking is limited.
9. At the swap, put your items out on the racks and tables in the designated areas.
10. Take the items you want, refold the rest and put them back in the proper place.
11. After the wild free-for-all, the remainders will be packed into boxes and taken to charitable organizations.
12. Please help clean up before you leave, otherwise some of us will be up til midnight!

Feel free to use this model for your own swap! Invite me!
