WHEN: March 18<sup>th, </sup>Noon (Morning Bus/carpool times below)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<st1:placename w:st="on">Sonoma</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">County</st1:placetype> citizens are organizing to mobilize a large contingent for the upcoming march and rally in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">San Francisco</st1:place></st1:city> on March 18<sup>th. </sup>This rally is just one of thousands of global actions being called to resist the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Iraq</st1:place></st1:country-region> war in towns and cities across the planet. March 17<sup>th</sup> is the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Iraq</st1:place></st1:country-region>. In <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Washington</st1:city> <st1:state w:st="on">DC</st1:state></st1:place> tens of thousands from around the country and more than 200 cities will descend on the Pentagon. In <st1:country-region w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region>, Europe, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Brazil</st1:country-region> and the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">UK</st1:place></st1:country-region> people will go to the streets, marches, protests, direct action all bringing to light that people all over the world are ready for a reasonable solution to an illegal war. Soldiers, veterans and military families also join the efforts to stop THE WAR MACHINE, and bring the troops home.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
A <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Sonoma</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">County</st1:placetype></st1:place> contingent will dress for a funeral procession as they carry coffins
and photos or other representations of the victims of this war; soldiers and civilians, the
environment and quality of life, justice and democracy. If you choose not to participate in
the funeral procession, consider marching with the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Sonoma</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">County</st1:placetype></st1:place> banner in front of the
procession. Bring drums, signs but most importantly, bring yourselves and your friends.
Look for the <st1:placename w:st="on">Sonoma</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">County</st1:placetype> banner at the beginning of the March at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Justin</st1:placename><st1:placename w:st="on">Herman</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Plaza</st1:placetype></st1:place><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>To get involved on March 3<sup>rd</sup> at the Peace and Justice Center in Santa Rosa, at 467 Sebastopol Ave (off Santa Rosa Ave near the Greyhound Station)<o:p></o:p>
At 3:00 pm Prop and banner meeting, bring materials for making banners and signs, and ideas.<o:p></o:p>
At 6:00 pm on Saturday March 3<sup>rd</sup> is the final planning meeting, also at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Peace</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Center</st1:placetype></st1:place><o:p></o:p>

call by March 14 to reserve a space for the chartered bus. Round trip $20. The bus must be full
or it will be canceled. Buses depart Santa Rosa Community market at 9:30 am (free parking SRJC
on Sunday, 3/18), and Petaluma Fairgrounds by 10 am. The bus will transport the alter-abled or those
unable to march to the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Civic</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Center</st1:placetype></st1:place> rally site. Riders requiring assistance must have an attendant to help
them off the bus. Wheelchairs and walkers must fold and fit into the under bus storage.<o:p></o:p>
