Hello, Everyone~
I'm relatively new to Sonoma County & wonder if there are any local Folk Music & Dance Societies, or any groups who hold Contra/Folk dances in & around Sebastopol (as well as other things like concerts, etc). Please point me in the right direction :dogdance: Thanks!

You hit the jackpot, Paula! Besides NBCDS and Monroe Hall, there is a Balkan folkdance community here. Last Sunday of each month (including today) at the French Garden restaurant in Sebastopol from 2pm to 4pm, Balkan dance with live music. There is the annual Glendi festival in September at the Orthodox church on Mountain View off Santa Rosa Ave near Freidman's. Also the Romany festival at Ives Park in Sebastopol, usually in early May. Try Voice of Roma online for details. Also Google Razzmatazz, Balkan dance teacher Marilyn Smith's org which puts on several dances each year, often with live music.
