2007 Sebastopol Environmental Consciousness Award
On 1/24, Portia Sinnott was honored with the 2007 Sebastopol Environmental Consciousness Award. Organized by the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce, 12 people were honored including the Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Fireman of the Year, Police Office of the Year.
Portia is co-founder (with Sammy Nasr) of LITE: Living In Touch with The Earth.

At the event she told the 100+ crowd that she is happy to live in a community where so many people are working hard on sustainability, that Sebastopol is considered a leader in the "green movement and that we should keep up the good work."
As usual she also encouraged them to drive less, walk and ride safely and carpool.
