I heard an interview by a man who is from the middle east and is now living in America. He said some things that are not often heard in our media. Some of it quite shocking. It is a point of view that is quite important and I hope you will go to his website and see for yourselves what he has to say. He makes a lot of sense. Check it out and maybe we can start a discussion from there.

I've been watching your post, Tom, since you put it up. Wanted to see if anyone around here had anything meaningful to say about it. 12 views in 4+ days. Not much interest in these parts about Middle East issues. Now, if you'd posted something about Tibet...
Walid's Probably not too popular in the Arab world. He will not change the Arabic mindset. No one or no thing can change their minds, except they themselves. And their idiotic jew-hatred is societally ingrained. Barring some cataclysm, man-made or not, which flattens that region, it will be many generations, at least, until it is resolved.
As for the U.S.' involvement - most likely our sins there over the last century have done irreperable damage to any hopes we'd have of being of any assistance to them.
I'm starting to believe that we really have no choice but to let the Arab world implode itself. Perhaps we can do things to help minimize the brutality of their civilization's crash-landing. We can't force them to start acting rationally. Its kind of the same situation as dealing with a drunk, gambler, or other irrational self-destructive type...perhaps they need to hit rock-bottom before they can heal themselves.
