Hi folks,
I am taking intermediate photography. I am looking for interesting old children's playgrounds to photograph, perhaps at different times of day. Are there ones with interesting wooden play structures, swings, etc. with character that you know of?

Thanks so much.

Seems to me, wooden structures are a feature of slightly newer playgrounds. If you want an old playground, try the one in Cazadero, downtown, next to the tennis courts, across from the fire station. It has an old metal spiral slide and a metal merry-go-round, and a couple of those little old animals on fat springs.

Some of the features of Children's Playground in Golden Gate Park date back a ways. There are circular swings, where two people face each other sitting on seats---hard to describe, but very cool old things. There is a wooden teeter-totter, and you hardly ever see a teeter-totter anymore. Also, one of those metal merry-go-rounds. And of course there's the carousel: highly photogenic.

Happy snapping.
