Does anyone know of a conscious parenting group in the Sebastopol area? I am looking for a group of parents to share ideas, advice and support with around conscious parenting. Many thanks. -Tara

I don't know of any groups happening right now. I belonged to a couple of groups in the area when my daughter was a lot younger. She's twelve now. I may be interested in joining or helping to start one up. I feel I have a lot to offer to other parents from my experience and can share from my process with tons of mistakes (and joys!). I also need a lot of support with conscious parenting going into the teen-age years.

I connect with parents through my website and newsletter and would be happy to collect and share local resources and information and maybe get a group going that way. - Jane

Yes! I would highly recommend Classes taught by Franny...she has one starting soon! It is based on the book Positive Discipline by Jane Nelson, but also just being with Franny is very enriching...(She ran Tree House Hollow preschool for many many years, and will be reopening next year after a sabatical.)

Anyway...6 tuesday nights 7-9pm, February 20-April 3. I can not recommend this class highly enough... it has helped me and my husband with our daughter tremendously! She also offers an ongoing, once a month ongoing support group for folks who have completed the class...it is very helpful!
