ATTENTION COUPLES CONSIDERING CONCEPTION IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS...
You are welcome to join in a heart-circle on the topic of "conscious conception in these critical times" followed by a full moon drumming & dancing circle on the land of a budding Ecovillage in West Sonoma County.
Some background:
My husband and I are planning to conceive a child within the next two years and are intending to do so in the context of other young families, so that our future child can experience something like siblings very close in age, and we as parents can collaborate in child-care and nature-based home-schooling as the time comes. This desire to raise children in a more cohesive intentional context is part of what motivated us to found Green Valley Village, the farm and wilderness where we reside on hundreds of acres nestled in between the towns of Sebastopol, Occidental, and Guerneville.
Since we have residential openings on our land (4 rooms open in our largest shared house), we figure it's a good time to put our intention "out there" so that there is time for involved parties to experience sharing day-to-day life and decide whether there's the resonance to bring such a vision to life.
A relevant opportunity: Adjacent to the cluster of half-a-dozen houses, there are undeveloped parcels with building rights that are available to those with funds & compatibility to the village purpose.
Aside from the possibility of becoming land-partners (which is an extensive process involving all 17 current members living on the land), we look forward to meeting some couples in the wider community and hosting a discussion circle on a topic of mutual interest, followed by a time of celebration.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3rd 2007 -- FIRST FULL MOON of the New Year
5:00 PM - Arrival, Settling-in
5:15 - Wisdom-Circle sharing on the topic:
"Conscious Conception in these Critical Times"
6:30 - Potluck Dinner
7:30 - Drumming and Dancing into the evening. Bring layers, as there is the option of relocating to an outdoor ceremony site (depending on weather conditions and how people feel.) Otherwise, we'll be inside by a fire.
Potluck details: Hostess will provide: tea and soup, eating utensils.
Please note: this is a household of no refined sweeteners. Organic treats sweetened with fruit juice, agave, or raw honey are, however, welcome. Please label non-vegetarian dishes.
