Hello there, Our family is looking for a place to donate warm clothes, books, and some toys. We would really like to see these items go to a family that needs them or to a place like a foster home or center for women and children. We really appreciate all suggestions.
Thanks so much! Lisa

Lately I've been donating things--and buying a few things at very reasonable prices--to the new little thrift store in Guerneville--its near the post office--I forget the name of the street. The woman who runs it has a big heart, feeds people out of the store and gives away stuff to people who are in need.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope you have a lot to be grateful for--I sure do. Lilith

The Family Connection, an effective Sonoma County non profit which helps homeless families (mostly mothers with children) get back on their feet via a one year commitment by a team of volunteers/mentors guided by program support staff is a terrific recommendation, I feel. Located on Morgan Street in Santa Rosa. Telephone: 579-3630

hello
there is also the place in graton that helps those in need, especially victims of natural disasters...it's near "downtown", a few blocks away from the underwood (on that side though). i think it's called love your neighbor.
also you can post it on [email protected] and you'll get an individual who needs it.
