I just took a quick Consumer Reports survey about extended warranties! They say "don't buy," and have some great information about saving money by saying "no!"

Take a look, and then take the pledge with me! They want to calculate how much money Americans save this holiday shopping season. You can tell them about your experience with extended warranty in the past, take the pledge, and then come back and tell them how much you saved. Its fun and quick.

Go to https://cu.consumer.net/extendedwarranty

I believe this is a spam phishing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing site. I couldn't verify that consumer.net has anything to do with Consumer Reports.

The CU article which DOES confirm that most Warranties are not a good deal is at:

https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/personal-finance/news/november-2006/why-you-dont-need-an-extended-warranty-11-06/overview/extended-warranty-11-06.htm

The site to go to for the actual report and survey is
https://cu.convio.net/extendedwarranty

I don't know how that other address got in my post as I copied and pasted it from the original email which was totally legit!

Thanks Tom!
