Hello!
I am a senior at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm, and (as some of you might have seen my previous posts on this subject) have finally come up with my senior thesis project, required for graduation.
I would like to create an information and resource guide dedicated to informing the public of the current environmental issues in our county, along with an index of organizations/businesses, such as Landpaths, the Open Space District, local composting firms, CSAs, etc...and their activities.
I would like to write articles on issues pertaining to Sonoma County, interview people working on them, organize the resource section and design this guide as a informational package for EVERYONE in Sonoma County.
Now, the questions and issues I have are:
1-How can I publish this on such a large scale that it could be spread everywhere in Sonoma County? I want it to be everywhere, and in everyone's hands. (much like the new SBC yellow pages telephone books we all got a few months ago:)
2-How can I pay for it? Are there organizations or people out there that would be interested in helping me financially complete this? I need all the support I can get on this.
3-What are the most important topics on peoples' minds right now? I want to educate the public on issues that might not be so obvious; on things that many people simply do not have the energy, time or care to personally research. Let me know if you have an issue you'd like to see in such an information guide as what I am describing.
4-How should the resource portion of this be organized. What companies or topics do people want covered in a listing of organizations? How detailed should it get?
5-Any other aspects that I neglected to cover. I am still in the initial phases of exploration on this topic, and any advice would be much appreciated.

I should add that the guide would be a onetime publication; at the moment I can only commit to that much. If it's a hit, and the community supports what I produce, I would consider writing more.

Please let me know if you have any ideas or can offer me any help.
I will try to get back to everyone who replies to this, and I would appreciate all feedback-both positive and constructively critical.
Thank you very much,
Katherina Haug

Could you publish it online? That would make it available to everyone.
