I just found out about this today. It's called The Next-Gen-Social Network, as a backlash to Facebook, Twitter, and TicTok.

I opened an account at MeWe. I am sorry I did. I have been receiving Facebook messages from people I haven't corresponded with in years. I emailed some of them back and found out they did not send me a MeWe message. Somehow MeWe obtained the names of some of the people I corresponded with and used those to try and get me to use the site. I cancelled my MeWe account.
