Hi yawl.
I am a real fan of Mbira, sacred healing music played for over 1,000 years.
Learn about mbira here: https://mbira.org/what-is-mbira/mbira-music/
This site is the decades-long devotion of Erica Azim, a remarkable woman, who in the 70's, learned MBIRA from the masters and set up this non-profit to get the instrument makers and players rewards for their beautiful, powerful, ancient healing music. Every dollar goes to the musicians and their families in Zimbabwe, and the next disbursal is in a couple weeks! Do donate - https://mbira.org/
Zimbabwe has had several years of drought and economic collapse adding to challenges of living in poor circumstances. Learning that water is so scarce that the needs of the people are not met - let alone farm animals and growing crops - I've been working to help get a well completed.
The pipe is dug, the water's there. What needed is a pump, solar system, tank and stand - all for about $3,000. This well, overseen by the elders, will supply local, clean water for all the villagers.
We've researched and applied to 4 specific non-profits - and just learned that none are capable of helping.
SO, we're setting up a GoFundMe or Indigogo page. We have photos and the support of the elders. I've found a tutorial to learn how to set up a page though would really like to work with someone who's done this already - even better, a few times.
If you're inspired to help out with this in any fashion, please get in touch as soon as you can.
Blessings of water - water is life!
