Hello, Beloved Community—
50552I am throwing my hat in the ring for a place to call home in west Sonoma County (somewhere within the Sebastopol, Occidental, Forestville triangle) with a flexible start-date between now and the end of the year (but preferably by December 1st).
I’m a mid-30’s herbalist and bodyworker and have been living in Sonoma County off and on for the last five years. I love this community and have spent my time taking advantage of all of the beautiful wisdom the community here has to offer, studying permaculture and regenerative farming at the Permaculture Skills Center, Ayurveda at the Dhyana Center, and continuing to study herbal medicine at the California School of Herbal Studies. I’ve spent most of the last year on Kauai completing a trauma-informed massage therapy program and now have returned to Sonoma County to put down roots and develop a private practice integrating all of this beautiful wisdom.
Like a true Virgo, I had a past life in academia and spent my 20’s in living and working in various parts of the Mediterranean as an archaeologist. I suppose that Earth, Learning, and Adventure are the recurring themes in my life. ;) I’m still a huge nerd and spend my free time researching whatever is sparking curiosity.
I’m envisioning a private cottage, perhaps on shared land, with a community garden and the desire to be in connection with one another. For me, home is a quiet space to study, to engage in self-care, and be with plant friends, though I enjoy hosting human friends from time to time. A bathtub, peaceful natural surroundings, and space to garden herbs and flowers are some of my essentials. My budget is flexible to what is being offered, though more compatible with something rustic than with something luxurious.
I’m employed, have no pets, and have excellent local references. Thank you for reading and sending any possible leads my way!
