Hi!
Sorry about the tight deadline. I have been promoting this all over Northern CA but neglected to do it in my own area....
CA Recycling and Plastic Pollution Reduction Act - sign the petition now! (https://www.cawrecycles.org/recycling-news/48w5pxfy4sryxhex3m594yy453elpl)
Please see attached. The authors are people I know and respect. We are close to meeting the signature goals but just in case we are still requesting additional signatures.
Please print out all eight pages, review, complete and sign page 8 and mail.
Only room for 4 signatures and you have mail in all 8 pages. Make sure you have the right postage...
2 ForeverŪ or 55 cent stamps for a standard letter envelope
3 ForeverŪ or 55 cent stamps or a "9x12" envelope
2 ForeverŪ or 55 cent stamps per additional petition included after the first
Yes, it is quite cumbersome but...
I think tomorrow's postmark will serve but I am trying to mail some today just in case.
If the links below don't work you can find them here on my/our website: https://ncrarecycles.org/2020/05/plastics-free-ca-ballot-initiative/

PETITIONS DUE TOMORROW!
JUNE 26!
ACT NOW! HELP ENSURE A CLEAN AND HEALTHY FUTURE FOR ALL CALIFORNIANS
Plastics Free CA (http://ncrarecycles.wildapricot.org/EmailTracker/LinkTracker.ashx?linkAndRecipientCode=CQmgYAveCyJ6l2rh5KU76I3vm21AZ4cf0euCsCt6OLGkJvY9nNiaIUJeQiYkZi3w8xBPVQs7DznZOySKf3bYD2ZLmGzUxubAbhiPzPtktbM%3d) is a ballot initiative for the 2022 Election - an effort organized by the people of California to impact change. Signature gathering was on a great roll, but due to the current Shelter-In-Place Orders, the campaign managers are estimating they are about 40 - 50,000 signatures short. They are accepting signature pages through June 26, 2020. (The state won't accept electronic signatures. The petition can be printed double-sided.)
If you have access to a printer or printing shop, here's how you can help make sure that Californians have a chance to vote to stop plastic pollution:
Step 1: Review the initiative
