In a new study, researchers found that half of the patients they treated for mild COVID-19 infection still had coronavirus for up to eight days after symptoms disappeared. The research letter was published online in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. David Ho at CalTech is saying studies in China are showing up to three weeks from the date symptoms appear, with one individual still shedding the virus at 4 weeks.

I think the 6 foot distancing was the maximum imaginable to have some kind social functioning still possible, but considering, wind, suspended particles as someone walks through a previous persons breath cloud more caution needs to be applied.

In my studies on virology I learned uvc, present in sunlight( yes?) kills virus. There's probably studies that outline how much virus gets killed from what distance and how it takes for virus to die.
UVC radiation produces skin cancer, which is bad for people since it would sterilize a " hot" room
effectively. Anybody know how they're dis-infecting masks , a fine idea, what are they using and how is it being done?
and if the cdc and who were actually effective, an anti-viral would have already been introduced.
if the physical act of gargling reduces the amount of virus present in your throat , it would slow the effect of virus down. It's getting your nose dis-infected ,effectively, that should already been addressed. Natural anti-virals, honey , echinacea, have been shown to be effective in testing. That's the strategy now, slow it down so other solutions can be produced. There are so many ways the course of the virus can be changed , cough drops ,nose sprays, throat spray, jelly(for your nose) that would create a physical barrier, all fda unapproved. Seems it would be hard to do major testing in the middle of a pandemic since so much ignorance abounds everywhere.
and all this back-pedaling really does not inspire confidence i.
