Make that two now. With so little testing done to date actual numbers are likely much higher. Please don't think because there are only two cases of community transmission that have been detected that is all the Covid-1 cases in Sonoma County. There are surely many many more. The governor knows as testing ramps up the numbers are going to really scare people.

We each have the power to keep the numbers low....IF each one of us knows that WE are the solution...following all suggestions to stay home, social distance, wash hands, etc. We can do this if we do it together! Think community, not individual!!

Public Health Officer Dr. Mase presented to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors this morning regarding the ongoing public health emergency related to the coronavirus. We learned that she is plans to issue a health order that will direct a “shelter in place” strategy to flatten the curve of infections locally. This order is expected to be released today, and expected to take effect at 12:01AM Wednesday morning. Please plan accordingly. Details are being worked out in real time as to what constitutes “essential services” so that local businesses, employers, employees, and residents have clear guidance.
