I invite Wacco seniors to join me in attending the Cafe Mortal gathering at the Petaluma Library 100 Fairgrounds on Monday evening January 27 from 6 to 7:30. Cafe Mortal used to be called Death Cafe. I have attended two of these events and found them rewarding. One was in Fairfax and one was in Rohnert Park. Very nice people. We sit at round tables in groups of 6 or 8 and have a pleasant discussion about mortality, our thoughts, feelings, hopes, expectations.

I've attended 3 of these events, and thought they were very worthwhile. Most friends that I invite just say they don't want to talk about death, even though I explain that it's so much more, and isn't morbid at all.

I didn't realize the name had changed; maybe that will encourage more people to attend by accepting mortality easier than death.

I attended one at the senior center in Sebastopol. Coffee and cake and thoughtful, spirited discussions. Highly recommend!:heart:
