Rum Request

I have tried several types of rum but the only two that I enjoy are Cuban rum and another brand called, "Zacapa." Even though Zacapa rum is not as good as the Cuban rum, it is enjoyable enough for me to buy and consume.

So, which brands of rum are your favorites? Please let me know right here in this thread so that others can benefit from your feedback as well.

While I'm not much of a liquor drinker anymore...and even less so rum... I would suggest searching for rums labeled as "Rhum Agricole" - the term generally used for rum {and originally referring to rum from the West Indies] distilled from pressed sugar cane juice. (most rums are distilled from molasses).

I'd also check out Cachaca (sp?). I'm not sure if it's solely Brazilian or from throughout South America. It's distilled from fermented cane juice, and, at least the samples I have had from a friend from Brazil, tends to be a little lower in Alcohol.
