I would agree we need a better medicare for all debate...

To start with - is there any chance in ^)$! this could actually pass congress (my belief- NO) or is this just an empty promise to gain votes (or to be less cynical - an attempt to move the debate on modifying "Obamacare" to the left? )

Will the millions of democrats- both unionized workers and higher pay workers vote for anyone that supports MFA when it will likely degrade the level of care they receive? (let's be honest- while this is is promoted as a selfless issue... it will be voted on in the most selfish of ways).

What will happen to coverage for things like womens health and reproductive rights, transgender hormones and surgery, addiction treatment, rare genetic diseases - especially those that affect mostly minority populations, etc in a system where congress can decide who/what gets covered?

What will happen to the millions of workers currently involved in the health insurance industry? What effect will this have on the rest of the insurance industry (home/auto/life/pet/etc) ? What will this do to the numerous cities where the health insurance industry is THE employer and tax base?

With the massive tax increases that will be needed for this program alone...what other programs will be sacrificed? Climate change? Infrastructure (including burying the transmission lines in CA and the west to prevent fires) ? The homeless crisis? Veterans?
