Portside: Here's Why the 'Political Center' is a Dangerous Myth - And How It Could Cost Democrats the 2020 Election (https://portside.org/2019-08-14/heres-why-political-center-dangerous-myth-and-how-it-could-cost-democrats-2020-election)

How many times have you heard that if Democrats want to win back the White House, they need to put up a centrist, moderate candidate who can appeal to the majority? “Own the center left, own the mainstream,” we hear from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/04/us/politics/nancy-pelosi.html).

For Pelosi, it is essential that Democrats focus on a centrist agenda and centrist candidates. Yet as we know, this stance has threatened to divide the Democratic Party. The conflict between establishment liberals or “moderates” and progressives has been at the forefront of Democratic Party politics ever since Sen. Bernie Sanders —no, not technically a Democrat — announced his plans to run for the party nomination in the 2016 election. Those tensions have only gotten worse in the wake of the election of a number of progressive candidates in the 2018 midterms.

I read this article (https://portside.org/2019-08-14/heres-why-political-center-dangerous-myth-and-how-it-could-cost-democrats-2020-election), wisewomn; the whole thing. It is very intriguing and offers some very important insights into the current political landscape. Especially interesting is the observation that the radical tendencies of the electorate are more pronounced in reality than the mainstream media (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=main+stream+media+definition&t=osx&iax=images&iar=images&ia=images) would have us believe.

-And this is true of the so-called "Left" & the so-called "Right"... Indeed, as Daniel Bell opined, one may be a liberal -or- moderate in politics; a socialist in economics, and a cultural conservative. All of these tendencies - or any combination of other "tendencies" may be present in any one person. We are all unique, and only those who are politically pliable actually fall into the party-spirit of the categories that are pre-fabricated to set the population at loggerheads; the better to control Us.

It has long been my observation that the "Political Center" far from being a Myth, is an actual Fact. The things that divide us as a People are the wedge issues that the Political Center - which may actually be run from the "Rockefeller Center (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Rockefeller+Center&t=osx&iax=images&ia=images)" on Fifth Avenue, sets before We the People, in order to Divide and Rule Us.

The Political "Centrists" are indeed the Plutocrats (https://web.archive.org/web/20160324213557/http://www.paleoprogressives.org/mobius-continuum-model.html), who control the Dialectical -or- Thesetical Process, from Above... That is why the DNC, as well as the RNC - whose Boards of Directors have been in cahoots ever since the Compromise of 1877 (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=compromise+of+1877&t=osx&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images), wish to cleave to this Mythical "CENTER" :wink2:
