Any referrals to somebody who can (safely) remove an 8' tall poison oak growth? It's obviously been growing for several years. We're on Pleasant Hill Road. -- Elizabeth Fuller

What I have done with the big ones is wait till winter when it is only a vine no leaves, then hack it off below ground level at the base with an axe. When shoots reemerge in the spring chop them out with a shovel when they are small. Good luck.

Our tree guy, Darryl "the tree climber" Sukovitzen recommended John Obatelli, 528-8813. I have not used him yet.
