I've started adding this to my emails to legislators concerning refugees:
If the US is having trouble assimilating more than a certain number of refugees from deadly violence, here's an idea: Find areas where there is acreage available very cheaply, buy it, and put into each area a large number of immigrants who speak the same language, along with building and farming tools and materials. Provide financial incentives for using some of the land to grow $5-an-ounce medicinal herbs and sell them affordably.
