I've never had much luck raising CRC on the phone but if you roll in there they've always been good. (Caveat- I haven't been there in quite a while).

Other then that - google something like "electronic waste recycling event Sonoma County" - there are usually a few a year.

Those are the only 2 options I really know of in the area- other then seeing if someone in the area wants one for free to use for some purpose....

There also a computer recycling center in San Rafael (https://renewcomputers.com/)

Go over to CRC during their business hours (http://www.crc.org/locations/soco_sr.php). Was there recently, no problem...

CRC left, changes in 2016, went down hill, closed since last year... too bad, they used to be a great service, gone now...

Good to hear, I was there a few months ago to shop but it was closed and looked abandoned... I will return... live in Jenner now, a longer drive to visit but will check it out... thank you Dusty!!

Sonoma County Refuse in Guerneville has an electronics recycle near where the regular refuse goes. I don't know if there would be a charge. I usually just drop my old electronics off there when I'm doing a dump run. Give them a call, it may be free. Gene

St. Vincent De Paul is an official recycling site (their term). I was driving around for months with a computer in my trunk. When I was dropping off some other stuff, they noticed the computer and said they would take that too. They sell the parts they can, and send the remains to a recycling center.

Thank you all for your help! Will try to stop by CRC and if not - on to Staples (which has a limit of 5 pieces per day).

It's important to read the website message. It says, among other important things, that the drop-off is now closed because CRC will be moving. They do pick up computers etc for recycle, but for now cannot drop off. Important to take the time to read it, DustyG

Thank you Dustyg... I had gone to the CRC building months ago, no one there, later checked the website and now remember the note: "The CRC.org Drop-Off is permanently CLOSED. Thanks for your support. NO public Drop-off - CRC.org is moving and our new Tech Center address will be listed when open to the public." I remember thinking I would check back to see if there was a new address... and forgot... but now remember. Sorry i did not recall before. They do have a place in San Rafael, went there last year, did not see anything I wanted to buy at that time. Too bad, I wanted to support them after having 15 years of Santa Rosa service with drop off and repairs. Thanks again Barryg, Bruce Schmidt

You can still go to the front office and buy recycled computers, monitors, etc., it's just the drop off that's closed. I was there just weeks ago and go a 'new' monitor which works great!
