I am curious... California voted in favor of the California Lottery because they thought the money would go to schools.
Now there are new props on the ballot for money to go to schools...What happened to the Lottery money?:dunno:
Why are schools closing or not having enough money?:dunno:
Anyone know about this?
Thank you.

:2cents: I too want to know what the schools are doing with their lottery money. We voted for one lottery once a week and somehow they sneaked in these daily games and more. Can anyone explain how we have all these other games and why we never hear about the money the schools are supposed to be getting?

My undrstanding is that when the lottery money came in the state pulled it regular financing sooooo they basically broke even if they were lucky and lost abit other times.
Plus we have ahd a child boom. There are more kids. Schools closed inthe 80s from lack of kids and were sold in a few cases worse many properties were left to just sit with bare minimum maintenance. With lead, asbestos and otehr environmental and deterioration issues schools and districts are in deep trouble.
