We were discouraged today when we arrived to find out that someone stole our Snapper shredder machine from our garden. For those who don't know, we, as volunteers, are creating gardens where we can begin to produce produce which will go directly to feed those in the community who are needy or those are facing a difficult week, month, or year (s). To have someone steal our mulching machine is disappointing because we were gearing up to begin to use it since it had just arrived a few days ago. If anyone has any information on who took it please let us know: 887-8129 OR 829-5466. It was worth between $300.00 and $500.00 and we needed it. If it does not come back to us through someone's conscience waking up, then if anyone in the community has a shredder that they would like to donate and that we can lock up more securely we would be most grateful. OR if the community would like to send donations to help us to replace this much needed tool we would be most grateful. You may send donations to: 2999 Bowen in Graton. Thanks WACCO for having a place to post these things.

What a shame. I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll pledge $50 to replace the shredder if it's not returned. Am hoping others join me in putting in enough to purchase a new one ... or better yet, get a used one. Can you get these used? Anyway ... am hoping others jump in to help you get a new/used one!

Blessings,

Lani

Thank you for your kindness. I hope that others respond as well to help us out here. We are an all volunteer run public charity and could sure use the help. We also need volunteers to help us set up our thrift area, volunteers to help us clean and sort new items, volunteers to help with the community gardens, etc...So please put the word out. Thanks so much for your offer and if it doesn't show back up within a week I will contact you. Like I said no one else has offered to help or offered a replacement as of yet. This is something we REALLY need to be able to do good composting both for the children's area and for the community garden beds and the wildlife habitat area. Graton soil is as close to sand as it gets....so extra soil nutrients are very much so needed. A shredder is very helpful in this process. Thanks again. Elaine
