Zero waste will never be achieved with trash operations being given contracts by local government.
This is just another example of how monopolies don't work.
Until I can call up another company to do a better job picking up my trash, the current one won't care about improving.
Until I can pay someone to properly sort and recycle my trash, we will be stuck with 3 bins and stupid laws banning things in the name of the environment.
As this group is being formed with those same people on it, I expect it to achieve little.
