Thanks for this piece of news. I'll be interested to see how decisions are made once the project is under way. Habitat For Humanity says applicants must have at least a certain income or land to donate, for building more homes. When I applied, though, I offered my land but got only a form letter saying I wasn't qualified because of my income and not mentioning the land offer.

This doesn't change anything about their decisions. Habitat for Humanity has been around for quite some time (40+ years). The factory here is not their first (see: Edmonton). They made the factory here cause they have volunteers/funding here, not necessarily because they're building anything here. They are making prefab home sections to be transported wherever they are building homes (likely regionally).
