Why are These future marines training on Taylor Mountain? I Thought This was open space land for civilians, not for military training! The Military has their own training grounds! This was horrible to witness and was a very unwelcome sight Saturday. How does anyone else in Wacco Community feel about military training young recruits on our open space trails?? Here is an excerpt from Press Democrat article Sunday (https://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/8701803-181/3-santa-rosa-teens-journey)-

A platoon of Marine Corps poolees from Sonoma and Marin counties hike back down Taylor Mountain carrying weighted rucksacks and disassembled pullup bars with their Marine recruiters, in Santa Rosa, California, on Saturday, August 18, 2018. (Alvin Jornada / The Press Democrat)

They're open PUBLIC spaces.
I much rather occasionally share them than pay tax dollars for some special training ground.

Edit: SERIOUSLY?!?! your intimidated by a bunch of teenagers with backpacks? This is the "military" that's intimidating you? Get over it.

So you only want to see them when there is an emergency or you are in distress? Marines are also civilians.

And the meat you get that's wrapped in plastic came from a critter. It's good to be exposed to the behind-the-scene realities once in a while, though it can suck when you're outside trying to take a break from things. But "horrible" is a bit much...

Does that mean; "once a marine, always a marine"?
