Fellow Wacco tribe: does anyone know of an Equinox pagan ritual being done to honor the Equinox here in Santa Rosa? This is a timely celebration

I have attended Catherine Sutton's celebrations and they are lovely. Sometimes women only, so check with her if you are interested. You do not need dance experience to do this. Details follow:

Saturday September 23rd at Oak Hill Park, Petaluma, 4-6pm A celebration of the Autumn Equinox for women, with dances from the Balkan grandmothers and others who love the earth.

Bring offerings from Earth's bounty for the center if you would like. $5 helps defray my expenses from the East Bay.

There is a labyrinth at this park, so come early to walk it! I'll be there at 3pm.

If you park in the small parking lot at the top of Pleasant Street (W. on E Washington St from Hwy 101, through town, R on Howard, L on Prospect, R on Pleasant), we will be dancing by the knoll of oak trees right there on the hill. The labyrinth is in the West corner of the park.

I look forward to dancing with you!

All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing.

AUTUMN EQUINOX RITUAL & FEAST FOR WIMMIN

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2006
5 pm - 9 pm
(ritual begins at 6 pm)

MOONLIGHT FARM
2040 Lawndale Rd.
Kenwood, California

You are invited to join our circle as we honor the turning of the Wheel of the Year and celebrate the Autumn Equinox. The ritual will begin at 6 pm, followed by a VEGETARIAN potluck feast.

Fall Equinox is a time to pause, to look back on the year, to reflect and appreciate ourselves and our accomplishments, both physical and spiritual. Autumn Equinox is a time of balance. We celebrate the abundance of Mother Earth (as the rains will soon return) as well as the gifts of our personal harvests. At the same time, we prepare to welcome the coming Winter and the season of the Crone. This ritual will honor wimmin who have stopped bleeding (for whatever reason) within the last year.

Bring drums & rattles, something to sit on, WARM LAYERS!!, a towel, a flashlight, VEGETARIAN dish for the potluck feast following the ritual, plate & utensils & a bottle of water. A networking table will be available in the house, so bring your fliers and business cards. This is an outdoor, clothing optional event.

AS PARKING IS LIMITED, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO CARPOOL! For directions, contact Debra at <?color><?param 3333,3333,FFFF>[email protected]<?/color>.

** This is a participatory ritual based in the Dianic Tradition of Wicca. Newcomers are welcome and should contact Debra at <?color><?param 3333,3333,FFFF>[email protected]<?/color> prior to September 22nd for more information.**

Suggested donation is $5-$20 with no womyn turned away for lack of funds.

Proceeds will be donated to a local wimmin's organization (currently to be decided).

This ritual is limited to 50 wimmin and will be celebrated in a drug free environment.

Please RSVP to:
