Get a great cat hat and support a local maker at Made Local Market Place 529 4th Street!
The place is a gem.

Hopefully an artist can contact you personally instead of going to a place where the artists get screwed over by a store that takes a huge percentage of the cost in the name of "shopping local" under a name they stole from GoLocal. YOU ROCK FOR MARCHING!!

Jeez...
I don't imagine the artists were forced to sell their products at the Made Local Marketplace (https://www.madelocalmarketplace.com/). Regarding their name, I believe in the beginning, and perhaps still, they had a cooperative arrangement with GoLocal. In fact, they still have a page on their website about GoLocal.

YOU ROCK FOR MARCHING!!so, do you have specific info about their bad business practices? The artists who put stuff in that store apparently feel that this is a better deal for them than opening their own location and paying rent/salaries, or sitting on the sidewalk vending.
I'm pretty far from a diehard capitalist, and I may be misjudging you, but a lot of waccos do seem to have weird contradictory impulses. Sure the artist deserves/earned money, sure any employees at the shop should have $15 minimum wage at least, so... the building should be provided for free? The owner should do it as a charity to support artists?? One reason I've never taken any steps toward opening a business is that the economics seem crazy - any employees cost you, with any benefits at all, pushing $200 a day. If you're a burger place, they (burgers) go out the door every few minutes. But every craft store I go to, it looks like a dozen or couple of dozen items go out every day? So even without rent/etc/ and your OWN salary/home, you better be getting $20 or more for the average item.
WAY OT (as is my wont) but since we're all worked up over Trump on principle, let's make sure we're not being characatures ourselves. I felt anti-owner resentment in the post, and exactly that dividing of us good'uns and those exploiters is what got us into the mess.
If that isn't what you meant, apply the logic to some more fitting target....
